AI James
for bibby, I have had vista a long time, and have a computer good enough for it, my index is 5.7. i know how to run comps, and i think that Vista is a crapshoot. It was supposedly a easier system for a entry user. Hell no. All 2006 produced Motorola Cell phone software does not work on vista. A crap load of DVD/CD burning software isnt supported. As a Dual flat panel display guy i hate the fact that some jackass at microsoft thought it would be good to not be able to span your decktop accross both screens, (a feature that IS in XP) that bullshit of having your taskbar on only 1 of the 2 screens is gay. Windows Viasta does not recognize my Canon D30 camera or my Sony H2 digital camera both with are great cameras and windows xp supported. I'll totally pass on vista until they can get more shit together for it.

meade916
on the real, i didnt mean to sound that harsh......sorry man. You have to admit though you really dont like ANYTHING or have anythning good to say about anything. I will take your advice and not use Vista at work yet since i use dual 22" flatscreens here. Im on the "dual head2go" splitter here i wonder if that would be affected by Vista or not. At home im on SLI though so it wouldnt matter.....and im sure there is bugs in Vista but just like XP it will all be worked out. I like it. Myself i spend alot more itme on this computer then my gaming rig so it was a bigger deal for me then most people probably. I'm just pretty passionate about how i feel about things and at times i guess it gets out of hand.
meade916
me 2 i guess but i try to look at the positive side of things if i can. I mainly used Vista because my alienware has been actin a fool and i thought maybe the 8800GTX would work better on DX10 since i heard it was designed for that anyway. When i installed Vista i realized it wasnt that bad i actually like it. Computers are like fingerprints, we all have so much different shit that no two are the same so of course you may not like it because your favorite stuff doesnt work well. Id be pissed too. In my case it isnt affecting me much since im starting fresh with a new PC and mostly everything i use is supported. Anyway Alienware is well aware of the problems im having because im not the only one apparantly so hopefully the issue (whatever it is) will be fixed. While its working (before the BSOD) it is CRAZY intense on this machine. Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! JeremiahCoffel
ya? well once the R600 comes out then Nvidia will come out with the 9900GTX and will dominate the ATI card AGAIN. What you think of them apples? lol just playin with ya. My computer requires a 1000w power supply to use 2 of my cards. I could probably grow some "Petunia's" in my closet for cheaper then it takes to run my computer ;) True, but for the nVidia 8800GTX Ultra it's going to cost upwards of $1000 per card, what do you think the 9900GTX will cost? $1000-$1500? Not many people actually have this kind of money.

I'll totally pass on vista until they can get more shit together for it. i have a motorola q and it works fine with a new download of microsoft active sync but this is a pda phone so i guess thats an exception. none of the dvd burning softwares that i had laying around would work with vista and none of them have any updates for vista on their site. one dvd burner i found that is capable of burning dvds on vista is nero 7 ultra edition http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/index.html which i am pissed i have to buy because no one else could put updates for their dvd burners to work with vista. kinda hopeless to use nero 6.0 because they will want to sell the 7.0 due to its "vista certified" badge. and vista is also shitty with hard drive camcorders. i have a 3gb video clip and if i play it straight from the camcorder it will play very iffy like its lagging but i know its not my usb ports cause when i boot up with xp i can play movies straight off the camcorder perfectly. and when i try to click and drag a file off the camcorder it takes longer to transfer the file than the length of the clip lol. vista does have alot of problems that are not currently fixable till all the software programmers make updates for vista for their softwares so i mean i think it would be best to wait a little and let everyone figure out how to make their softwares to work with vista before upgrading.
