marquettefan247 Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Well I have smashed my 16x16x16 box to peices and am moving on to a bit bigger box. the 16 height and 16 depth are my maxes and the 30 width is my max width. This will be my second box build and I am just wondering if this looks all good. A kicker l7 15" will be going in the box. I don't think im ready to build a ported box yet. 1995 Ford Mustang 3.8l V6 5 Speed Plans: 2 12 inch dc Level 4s DC 2.0k Amp KCA 1/0 Power Amplifier Installation Kit 220 Amp Alt XS Power 12V D925 AGM Battery Stinger Volt Gauge Rockford Fosgate RCAs Box built from birch. marquettefan247 Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 change of plans I need just a bit less space in width to fit it onto one sheet of mdf so the new dimensions are 16x27x16 and with the re calc wouldn't the left panel for cutlist be 14.5x14.5 instead of 15.25x14.5? 1995 Ford Mustang 3.8l V6 5 Speed Plans: 2 12 inch dc Level 4s DC 2.0k Amp KCA 1/0 Power Amplifier Installation Kit 220 Amp Alt XS Power 12V D925 AGM Battery Stinger Volt Gauge Rockford Fosgate RCAs Box built from birch. may03LT Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 It's gonna lack the low end in an enclosure that small....if it were me I would go as close to 6 cubes as possible.
07sOnAtA sp.ed Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 It's gonna lack the low end in an enclosure that small....if it were me I would go as close to 6 cubes as possible. this. you can tune a sealed a box. that box you have in the re enclosure calc. is like the bare minimum, which is a pretty good box for higher tuned music, but your gonna have some problems with the lows tho. try using areo ports or pvc piping they actually are the imo when it come to tuning you box, making it ported, and still having it ar a decent size.
