Fish Chris Posted August 19, 2009 Author Report Share Posted August 19, 2009 Oh, well anyway guys, I still went on to Best Buy, with my iPod, and was hoping to get to try a few different headphones with it. As it turned out, they had those $80 ones I mentioned setup, but you could not unplug them, from the source, and plug them into your own iPod None the less, they sounded freaking PHENOMINAL ! DEEP CLEAN bass, and great mids + highs. They also had a $180 set of Senheisers (sp ?) {the sound cancelating type} and from that standpoint, they REALLY did cancel out background noise well.... which is good for somebody with hearing nerve damage like me. But those did not have near the bass. Finally, they had a set of pre-amplified Bass Crushers (I think they called them) by Skull Candy, for $70.... and yea', for headphones, they had a rediculous amount of bass... I mean, like they were litterally trying to jump off your head ! Felt really weird actually. Unfortunately, it was a very unnatural, funky sounding bass, that really hurt the overall SQ IMPO. So, I got the $80 ones, and I couldn't be happier Notice how I've been avoiding the brand name ? Rogers Posted August 19, 2009 Report Share Posted August 19, 2009 ehh the gogear just feels more user friendly to me... plus i can plug it into a friends computer, rip their songs, and then add them to my computer..... with the ipod i can not retrieve songs from the unit to the computer..... and imo the sq just depends on what speakers you are using... dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with the ipod... its just not the unit for me at this moment... dustinallen82 Posted August 19, 2009 Report Share Posted August 19, 2009 (edited) For me atleast, what made me like them, was jailbreaking them, and the fact that you can have all the apps from the iphone on them without having to switch to at&t and get the iphone, plus with the jailbreak, apps 100% free!! even without the free apps the jailbreak allows you to do a million times more with your iphone ipod touch. The dynolicious app is my favorite, garage 419 tested it uo against a xcal and the ipod was more accurate than the scal!!! couldnt believe it!! *edit* but i definetly belong to the group that hated on them till they played with one!! I said it for you I just bought an iPod touch, and this thing is pretty freaking cool. The only thing I really like about the iPod Touch is the interface, it's pretty slick. Other than that, it doesn't really do any more than my Zune 80 does and my Zune 80 has 10x the capacity! When I say it doesn't do more than my Zune, I mean that in regards to what I want/need my portable media device to do.
