amp question

Bridging and strapping are different.

Do you want to bridge 1 amp or strap 2 amps?

Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

bridging to play 2 subs kinda defeats the purpose.

Not necessarily.

Some amps put out more total RMS power when bridged. (According to their spec sheets)

Rockford Fosgate Prime R150-2

Puts out:

150 x 1 @ 4 (150 total watts)

50 x 2 @ 4 (100 total watts)

Now granted, in stereo mode, you can drop down to 2 ohms, but that may not be an option.

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.

Thats not what I said, you changed what I wrote. The question sounds like the 2 amps would be strapped together to play two subs.

In which case I misunderstood what you were saying. When you said "bridging" I thought you actually meant "bridging".
