ArmoredPersonel48698 Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 Well, if you haven't seen it, I have two Kenwood 12's (W3012 series) and a 1800 Watt Kenwood amp. In the future (no telling if it'll be near, or distant), I'm planning on doing an upgrade. I doubt I'd have the space for an 18 w/ a box, but maybe a 15 w/ a 4-4.5...maybe 5 cube box. What I'm planning on doing, is getting a BTL 15 (or an 18 IF I HAVE THE SPACE FOR IT!!!!). I don't want to upgrade my amp, unless I have to. Would it be worthwhile to bump up to the BTL 15 and remove my kenwood 12's while still using the same amp (for awhile that is...I'd upgrade to a 2k watt shortly after). 1998 Honda CR-V Installed: 1 x Kenwood KAC-9104D amp 2 x Kenwood KFC-W3012 12" subs 4 x Kenwood KFC-1682ie 3-way components 1 x Kenwood Excelon KDC-X493 head unit My Honda Build
1992Chevy K1500 Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 Look into a DC Level 5 18". They only require 5 cubes per sub. http://www.dcsoundlab.com/specs.html My comp setup (Not bad for what it is): HP Compaq Presario V6120US laptop with: 15.4" widescreen AMD Turion 64 X2 1.6GHz processor 2x1GB stick DDR2 SDRAM (667 Mhz) Seagate Momentus 500GB SATA HDD 128MB shared video memory Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit 12 cell Lithium Ion battery (actual battery usage time: 6 hours) What it does: On a USB 2.0 Wireless card
Basshead08 Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 If you're on a budget look into audioque subs and amps. They slam and can't be beat for the price. System tear out has begun...Out with the old i have a iq of 128 i graduated at the top of my class tell me how im reatrded you are the 1 thats dumb as hell you can't even spell Look at the underlined text hahahahahahahaha I think of it as the virgin losing the virginity technique not just jumping in to it, and pounding away, but going at it slowly over time, to get to that full extreme
ArmoredPersonel48698 Posted August 24, 2009 Author Report Posted August 24, 2009 Budget is not a concern at this point. Since my parents got me my current system, I have cash left over to use elsewhere. Look into a DC Level 5 18". They only require 5 cubes per sub.http://www.dcsoundlab.com/specs.html I think a DC Level 4 18" would be more my forte. Would work nicely with my amp. EDIT: DC Level 4 18" w/ current amp or Fi BTL 15" w/ RF T2000? 1998 Honda CR-V Installed: 1 x Kenwood KAC-9104D amp 2 x Kenwood KFC-W3012 12" subs 4 x Kenwood KFC-1682ie 3-way components 1 x Kenwood Excelon KDC-X493 head unit My Honda Build
