BulletInjection
What does the "ah" stand for and what is its importance. Also I see the D5100R and D5100, what is the R's significance and how do these batteries differ? HHR Ed
Ah, is Amp hours. Its a rating showing how long the battery will maintain a given amp draw. For example, a battery with 1 Ah, can last 1 hour with a draw of 1 amp. or it can last half an hour with a draw of 2 amps, or it will last 2 hours with a draw of half an amp. The 5100R refers to reverse I believe, it is the same as the 5100 but the terminals are reversed. So between the 975 and 925, the 925 would be better suited for a second audio battery because the higher max amps and no need for a high ah because the car will be running? So the D975 is better even though it has half the max amps as the D925? They make the reversed one to fit various types of cars and mounts. Its hard to say what battery is better for you cause it depends on your needs and goals. The 925s are easier to charge and also supply faster discharge, but are depleted much quicker. I use D925s, but I have used and am jumping up to 16 of them. The multiples give me the right amount of reserve I need for my setup and at the same time I have the instantaneous power for when I do dB Drag. I would just like to prevent my voltage from dropping so I was gonna have my yellow top in the front and 2 975's or 925's in the back. BulletInjection
Alright if everyone deems this a valid idea I think I will get 2 D1200 for the back then sell my yellow top and get a 3rd D1200 for the front as my master battery? Can the D1200 be used as starter batts? EricR
this is the very reason C&D batts are popular. only draw back is they are heavy as a bitch Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
