BassHead7 Posted April 12, 2007 Report Share Posted April 12, 2007 if i bought me a yellow top would i absolutely have to upgrade alternators??...Or could it last me untill like December? because i do need another battery but the alternator is in good condition so i dont have the money to updrage for a while. Maybe by like June or July i could i guess but i just didnt know if u needed one for that powerfull battery. and do all batterys fit in all cars? kingsuv Posted April 12, 2007 Report Share Posted April 12, 2007 If your are replacing your starting battery, then you will need to get a Redtop. The Yellow is for a slower discharge rate. The red will give you the cranking amps you need to start your car. Trust me a Yellowtop won't last 2 years of cranking. If your are adding a battery to your system then get the Yellowtop, but really if your battery now is not fresh it will wear on whatever battery you add to it. You should have no problem adding a battery or two to a factory charging system as long as the charging system is working correctly. Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes.
