Never blew a sub gave 6 of them away still in perfect condition, and I still have 10 of them not for sell. The only thing that ever happened was a hole was in one of the surrounds and I got a new the next day free of charge. They will take every bit of the power stated - 16 x 250 = 4000 watts I was putting 6000 to them with no problems at all every day. I cant tell you who to go with just use your gut instinct, but I can tell you they will take the power.
