But i do have a question, in the start of the build you said your going to do something for cooling the amps. But now when i look at it they are going straight on top of each other...... Or is it now whit the wiring correct not a problem anymore..... Maybe David is just stacking them and have to come back one month after the build is done to install diablo's! LOL Have fun building the last bits!!!
David Posted September 26, 2009 Report Posted September 26, 2009 We removed the plexiglass panels that were sandwiched between the amps and left the gaps to help the amps cool. We talked abou fans but were just out of time. DAT amps would be sick.

David Posted September 26, 2009 Report Posted September 26, 2009 Routering the centers wouldn't have helped all that much IMO there still wouldn't have been any air flow acoss the heatsinks The way they had it set up was all sandwiched tight. So even with it routered out in the center. The outside ring of plexi would have stopped air from flowing acrosss the heatsinks.

Plenty of airflow and it could still be lit up. But whatevey you want, it looks dang good. Keep up the good work. LOL Have fun building the last bits!!! yeah what david said,we took out the plexi so basically the amps are floating in mid air (other than the one on the bottom) so they should be perfectly fine now..especially being wired right.Did you just not hav time to wait for them to come in?sorta...but we can get them locally..ill probably still do the fans in the mids/high amp rack but sometime later after i get a break..that shouldnt be too hard. but we will see you could have put the plexy between the amps and routered out the center for air flow but still lit the edges with leds build is getin'dun great work. that wouldnt really work in my application but its not a bad idea
