Mostar Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 I am going to get a second SAZ-3500d to power my (2)18" Fi BTLs. They are D1 and i am afraid i don't have the electrical to back them up strapped @ 1 ohm. So I was wondering what the output would be running 2 ohms per sub? My electrical will consist of a 300A alt, (4) Odyssey PC1500's, Optima Red top under the hood, big three in 1/0, and (3) runs of 1/0. This is a daily set up and i play it loud as often as i can. jvillefinest Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 (edited) You have batts you have a h/o alt you have the big3...what more do you need. Maybe a BIGGER alt but you should be able to push that setup pretty hard with what you have. you just might not be able to beat down for very long! or just run one. because you would lose output by using two in that fashon. If im correct you would only get 1500 watts out of that setup. Whereas you would get 1750 out of 1 at 2 ohms. see what everyone else has to say but i say runem! Should i run them at a 1 ohm mono load or a 4 ohm mono load (strapped)? Team_DC-Derrick Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 if you ran 2 ohms per sub, and wire it to the amp wouldnt that give you a 1 ohm load technically? I think you should be fine running it at 1 ohm personally with what you have just be easy on it Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... Derrick824 Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 You would be wasting your time getting a second amp unless you ran them @ 0.5ohm each. Two amps @ 2ohm each will do the same as a single amp @ 1ohm. I'm not familiar with those exact batteries but it seems like you have a very good electrical setup. Depending on the specs of those batteries you should be able to play of saz-3500s @ 0.5ohm just fine. Quote

Does that sound like that will suffice? I am not too sure on the draw of those amps @ 0.5ohm.
