I had a Pioneer do that on me one time. It was playing fine for a long time just pushing 2-12's and an amp. then one day, i start my car up and i got this loud whine and my subs sounded ugly as hell. I tried everything and even took it to a stereo shop and paid a $40 diagnostic and found out my preamp output on my H/U took a shit! Bought a new H/U and wala, Bump back in the trunk and actually sounded twice as better!!

so i went out to my truck this morning and disconnected the RCAs from my Headunit but left the amp on and w/ the RCAs disconnected it still makes all the noises i described previously, obviously at this point its the amp, but i dont have the original packaging so i dont think its covered under warranty, is there any way i can repair it? im not familiar with the internals of amps so i would rather just do it if its a simple fix or if they wont cover it under warranty, which im hoping they will
