he is a Dell IT Tech and does alot of work out in the villages of Alaska, Ive tried to get him to join but hes never home, and i think his project right now is gettin 3 of his 18's in the back of a Mercedes E#### somthing lol, and See I made another mistake with number about the cone area haha, but eather way my theory was right just not the numbers lol :P

HOPEfully when i get my truck back I can hit him up I might even just make a Forums account for him just to see if he will join.

No, your theory is not correct. A single driver can outperform multiple drivers. It is a general thought that the more loudspeakers you have, the louder your environment will be. That is not entirely correct. There are so many variables in acoustic design, and the number of loudspeakers used in the environment makes up about 1/20th of the crucial variables.

There is a competitor pushing past 160 with a single ten or twelve inch driver I believe. Tommy rings a bell, I may be wrong on the name. I keep thinking it was a single Alpine type R driver, though I may be wrong (read probably).

Well first of all i NEVER once said mine was louder and i never was bashing your system L2 read my whole post. And im not from wasilla i am from palmer. You dont have to get all shitty. and ok some local stores know you thats not a big deal. And for my one 15 inch sub its pretty loud for one 15. And it is my first system.

Good to see some SMD fans come out the wood work here in AK! I've been here for 3yrs now and havent seen any one with serious beat up here, (not saying there isnt any). I always seem to have to work when they have comps so i dont get out to compete and meet up with alot of locals. I just do for the love of music and neck snappin bass.
