aluminum vs copper bus bar

so would the aluminum .5"x2" would work for what I want? or do to the size restraint is cooper better.

i think you would be fine with 1/2 inch by 2 inch.

if you don't mind paying then get the copper, otherwise it will still work fine.

i've had a long time question to this, if electrons are on the outside of a conductor, wouldnt buss bars conduct far worse than 1/0 wire with the thousands of strands in it?

i believe only AC current runs on the outside of the conductor, DC current runs through the conductor thats why buss bars are so effective.

As far as the aluminum vs copper, most of your house entrance cables are aluminum. It's much cheaper, they just go two wire sizes up than you would normally for copper.

yea I made a dumb move tho. I ordered .5" thinking that my bolts on the battery where at least .75". Well turns out they where .5" so I drill the hole for the bolt, then used a step up bit and made it so the nuts are sunk into the bus bars about half way, just enough to get a socket on them.
