Yea that makes sense that .5 would be very difficult to fully power efficiently. I will really be surprised if it laughs off around 1k a piece since its 1200 rms but that would be great. Id rather them laugh at me then die, lol.

I've been taking into consideration the ap amp for awhile now. Might just sell my jbl and buy the ap. ahh this is taking alot more research than I thought it would. Theres no straight answer for anything but thats the good/bad thing about it. I am going to figure out my amp situation before I order my recones.

DD subs are severly under-rated. The 9500 series is 1500wrms, and Im putting over 3000wrms to each one of mine daily. If that gives you an idea on how much they are under rated

Nice, thats what I like to hear. What would be the smallest box you could put the 3515s in and still sound good? Thinkin about tunin it to 32hz like my old setup. sorry its a little off topic but its my thread so why not =) whatcha think

Also dont forget to buy CA Glue from DD to do the recones. You should be able to get away with only 1 bottle of CA glue and 1 bottle of activator.

I know I reconed 5 dd9512s, and a dd3510, and a 9515 with 2 bottles of each and still had enough to at least get another sub reconed.
