Any 1 running the DD M3

I have a DD M3 and i was wondering what kind of power you are putting on it so far i have my stock battery under the hood a 1800 kinetik in the trunk and another 1800 on the way and im hopefully buying a 220 amp alternator tonight. I plan on getting a 1800 under the hood some time soon if i can get the right price. Do you think this is enough power to keep that amp from clipping or should i get more batterys

I'm told (haven't used one myself mind you) that they work surprisingly well even when your voltage is pretty shithouse.

they work well but it clips like a son of a bitch and bottom out my sub on low voltes on certain lows

the m3 is the only amp i use. and if your bottoming out on certain low notes, tuning is your issue not power. the last one i clamped was wired to .5 with a rise to 1.5 and it did 2400-2500rms from 30hz all the way to 55hz. and it put out those numbers at 11.9v. those tests were done on 2 redtops and a single kinetik 2400 and a stock 2000 blazer alt.

That will be more than enough electrical for that amp... I used to have one, but sold it locally. Had mine wired to .7 ohms and after rise it was @ 1.6 ohms and i got just under 2300 watts clamped. Don't remember my exact voltage but I'm pretty sure if was in the low 13s/high 12s.

I ran one for a long with no problems with without a HO alternator just had 1 optima yellow top and 1 hc 1800.
