as i need six fifteens and i don't have too much money i was looking all over for cheap subs that can handle at least 500 rms and do it all day without failing.

i like the specs and the price, but i was wondering if there would be a reason why i dont see any talk about those subs here in the forum.

i did some search on google to try and find out if people had been having any trouble with those subs, but i could not find any dirt on them. but rather that those who have them do like them.

please advice me on if i should go for it or if there are some other subs that i should go for, they really cant be more expensive than the aprox 170 dollars per sub as i need six of them and final price will be over 350 dollars per sub when i have paid toll and shipping to iceland. everything here costs at least double for what usa customers need to pay.

i really like the specs, like 4" voice coil and 270 oz magnet but i'm kinda nervous on making the purchase as i can't find reliable review on those subs.

please advice me.

i don't have too much experience with different tipes of fifteens but my two cerwin vega 154 1000/500rms had served me well for over ten years before i sold them to a friend.

and i currently have two Jl Audio 15W3-D2 running on 500 rms per sub, no problems exept i have had to replace the tinsel leads. Posted Image

thing is that the vega strokers are out of my price range and i don't like the new garbage looking ones. but i would instantly jump and buy the old style ones like i used to have.

anyone know where to find new old stock vegas? six of them

Just get 2 loud 18's....lol

i'm somehow am stuck on having fifteens, no other size.

six fifteens is what i can fit in my car without blocking the rear view and still keep the car fully functional as a five seater.

thanx guys for pointing out the power aucoustic mofo's. i knew about them, but i had totally forgotten.

as my car is 22 years old and using two fifteens for the last year, some of the body assembly seams have started to break up at the spot welds. i guess i'll be using the time while the mofo's are on their way here to weld up the seams and repaint those areas.

ill be using the time as well to design a snug fit box, now i'm just wondering if it would be best to use an shared space box for the six or let each sub have its own chamber and port.

the reason i'm thinking about separate chambers is that if one sub dies it wont have any effect on the output from the others that are still working.

is there some store that would give smd forum members a discount on the mofo's?

Posted

def not on the discount.

about the shared chamber thing idk if all the subs are going to be on the same amp, id say no, its too many individual chambers and loads n stuff on one amp

id just do it shared itll be easier to build too IMO
