Enclosure Building Tips...?

Recommended Posts

I haven't used screws in a couple years now... I switched over to a nail gun like 3+ years ago and haven't looked back. As long as u use good quality glue, for the most part screws/nails aren't even really needed.

true that. just to hold the wood together while it dries

get someone else to help you. its always better to have two people doing it, in case you need them to hold the wood while you predrill or something. also i've been gluing the wood together, let it sit for like 15-20 mins (since wood glue dries pretty damn fast), and then i predrill and drill screws in later.

why?? why let the glue dry THEN screw it together? that's counter productive. glue, then screw while the glue is wet. makes a TIGHT hold while the glue dries. screwing after the glue is dry is not necessary

also if you use enough glue you'll already be air tight ;) but i always silicone it on the inside really good just to be safe anyways.
