meade916
actually what does the processor put out? That would be what you needed to look at to decide on a line driver. My Avic N1 only puts out 2v but my 3sixty.2's put out 5v which is PLENTY. ;D Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! BumpinLow
The Clarion has 7 volt RCA outputs or whatever. I really don't understand the pre-out thing. I've heard numerous people say that 5 volt is better than 2. I just don't understand what the significance with Pre Out Voltage is. Care to explain please? Anyone? Anyone? from what i understand the higher your preout voltage the less gain youll have to run on amps, therefore the amp doesnt work as hard. Also a higher voltage helps with noise that goes through the lines.

BumpinLow
Thank you for the replies and useful knowledge. Will really help when it comes time to order some things. I think I'll start off with the Head Unit, Equilizer and 5.1 Channel Surround. Is there anything else I should really need to start with? My major problem is going to be getting it mounted in the dash, but I'm willing to cut it apart. Steve or anyone, if yall know of any good tutorials for cutting a dash apart to accomodate more stuff, please link me. I'm sure cutting it won't be the problem, it'll be making it look good again
dmanson
what sort of equalizer are you talking about. the Audiocontrol 3.1 is a equalizer, crossover and line driver all in one.
