HaMSaMMiCH
What kind of amp? If the amp is too small and tuned wrong he could be clipping the shit out of it and burning the coils. CAUTION! POOR INSTALLATION MAY SHORT BOTH YOUR SYSTEM AND WALLET
Marlo Stanfield
Sounds like he clipping the sub, since it is underpowered ur friend might be making up for it by having the gains all the way up. 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... Marlo Stanfield
What possesed him to buy a sub that generally will need at least 2500w daily to get going, when he only has 1k?? I could almost guarantee he'd be louder with a single 15" L7 on that power than with the Solo-X. 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride... QX56 is staying stock til I get loud... Decaf
i doubt a rf1000 can move an x enough to smash the vc against the bottom.... maybe rock it under a clipped signal in a box incorrectly made if thats the case than u might be hearing the coil because of previous user error check ohm load and make sure something hasnt already happened that might lead to a fried rf1000, which is ~200 to fix holy mother of port... what are the box specs... either way u smashed the vc against the bottom plate/rocked the living chit out of it with lack of cone control from the vids ive seen it happens, fix it and move on, thats the name of the game
