THEY ARE BASICALLY FREE AIR. (THAT MEANS THEY MIGHT AS WELL NOT EVEN BE IN A BOX) THE POINT OF A BOX IS TO GENERATE BACK PRESSURE SO THAT THE SUBWOOFER DOESNT TRAVEL ITS FULL RANGE. BUT YOUR BOX HAS A HUGE HOLE IN IT, LETTING ALL THE PRESSURE OUT.
