cbcb900 Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 Been looking at some batts but not to sure what makes a batt good. is it the amps per hour or the cranking amps or what ? i got a cheap walmart deep cell batt its 124 ah 800 cranking amps.
Guest Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 Cranking Amps and Cold Cranking Amps are what start your engine. basically what your battery can output for a very short amount of time. The amp hour is important too if you plan on discharging the battery for long periods of time without recharging. My favorite batts for this are XS Power. They have a high amp rate and very high amp hours. soundzright Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 An agm battery like a kinetik or a deka intimidator would work better than flooded cells. They are also able to be deep cycled.
