apparently you dont get the term rice.. any car can be riced out. now a day the term rice is used to defined a car that has a mod done to it that is useless or dont match the car. and dont tell you havent seen a riced out mustang...

i remember at uti... the school i went to.. we dyno'd this kids honda civic with a cold air intake... then with a stock intake... and the stock intake gained 2more horsepower.... the manufactures of the cars spend millions of dollars developing those factory parts.... and then some one just "copies" it and make it suck hot air from in front of the radiator... out of metal tubing that gets heated by the engine... good one

some aftermaket intakes might be better... but i'll never buy one for a 2 hp gain... if anything

The term describes cars that have external mods to the extreme (and I mean extreme) and hundreds of stickers advertising parts they don't have on the vehicle. Most ricers have stock engines and a fart cannon exhaust. Some of those fart cannon exhausts actually reduce horsepower by using far smaller pipes than stock to get an increase in dBzzz.

Don't forget the 3 foot park bench on the trunks.

i thought "rice" ment Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements... but when you cay rice or ricer most people refer to imports as that....But some people are stupid and call a clean supra or whatever that will smoke what ever your driving a "ricer" cause its an import

If I see a car with all the flashy stuff, but it has balls to back it up, I call it a Tuner, but if I see the same car and it is all talk no walk I call it a Ricer.
