Namosh
Maybe you didn't get the ground back tight enough and the amp is going into protect mode. Quote My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
Jbosel
You could be haveing to much of a voltage drop on your batt and your amp goes in protect Quote '04 Ford Explorer Jenson headunit Rockford Fosgate Power T-1000-4 Rockford Fosgate T-1000-1bd 2 Fi 15" ssds 4 Pioneer TS-D6802R
Austin175
You could be haveing to much of a voltage drop on your batt and your amp goes in protect well it goes from 14 an looks what like is 13 or 12 volts when full tilt an my ground is on super tight but could the wiring on the inside the subs cause it also Quote kia spectra 4 door HU-a kenwood kdc-692x optima red top under the hood ( kinetik battery or powermaster in the back ) Iraggi 260amp H/O alternator 1 set of knu kandy 1/0 guage wiring kit ( 2 more sets coming ) front speakers - back speakers - 2 12" lv 4's with lvl 5 softparts ( going to be 4 in near future) Sundown 3500d( going to be 2 sometime ) i have boughten from - Bass14(smd), ddbump(caraudioclassifieds)

I see in your sig your subs are dual 1ohm. If you accidentally rewired them in parallel/parallel instead of series/parallel then you are running @ 1/4 ohm which is WAY too hot for your amp. Austin175
well i think that is my problem is the wiring on the inside the subs but if my ohm load is 1/4 then y is my amp not getting hot it dont even get warm at all Quote kia spectra 4 door HU-a kenwood kdc-692x optima red top under the hood ( kinetik battery or powermaster in the back ) Iraggi 260amp H/O alternator 1 set of knu kandy 1/0 guage wiring kit ( 2 more sets coming ) front speakers - back speakers - 2 12" lv 4's with lvl 5 softparts ( going to be 4 in near future) Sundown 3500d( going to be 2 sometime ) i have boughten from - Bass14(smd), ddbump(caraudioclassifieds)
Guest
well i think that is my problem is the wiring on the inside the subs but if my ohm load is 1/4 then y is my amp not getting hot it dont even get warm at all if you have a sub wired that low, usually amps will shut off almost right away to prevent damage edit: the only way to see what the problem is is to check the wiring on the subs Edited October 5, 2009 by Krannyman92
finkster
Having too low of an ohm load when the volume is down isnt going to make the amp too hot. Of course when you turn it up its going to get warmer. It may not even be thermal.....check your wiring inside the box and get back to us.
