well lets say i want to keep it down to two batteries, 1 under hood and 1 in trunk what are my best options.

because im thinkin maybe a bt100 under the hood and maybe one in the trunk, or a kinetik 14/1800 under the hood and maybe like a 2400 in the trunk? am i on the right track...any suggestions? my head hurts lmao. im trying to figure how you guys are coming up with this. are you trying to match the cranking amps of the batts to the rms of the combined amps. meaning a system that does 2k daily should have 2k worth of amperage from the batts??

No mine is all from experience with more setups than i can remember... Id strongly suggest you run like a Kinetik 1400 under hood + 2 2000s or 2400s out back. I always say this, but if you're gonna spend the cash on the rest of your setup then don't skimp on electrical or security(alarm, tints, etc).

your gettin confused between amps and watts man...a system that puts out 2000 watts doesnt consume 2000 amps to do so...but I agree with marlo, if your doin it up big, go for it...the whole idea is that your electrical system has no problem keeping up with the draw and strain your putting on it, you dont want to be just gettin by cuz you'll start blowin up amps that way...in simple terms...below 12 volts is your sworn enemy...
