I'm gonna be running Sundown in my car in a much smaller setup, but still pretty decent... Price wise this setup will save me multiple thousands and I can always switch products in the future. It prolli won't have the output as a similar Sundown setup would, but $$ wise I'm saving a ton and this setup won't be a slouch.

The beginning design process starts tomorrow, so either tomorrow or Thurs. I'll try to post up what a few of my designs might look like. They'll be a rough mockup but will at least give u guys an idea of what's going on in my head(that's a slightly scary thought lol).

Well I made another decision today(thurs) to sell off sum of the equipment I have in my storage unit and @ my parents home back in NY. I'm doing this to make up for the $$ I would of had from selling my explorer. I'm gonna be keeping the expo to make a nice lil system below the window line in it with sum of the extra equipment I have and then use it as a tow vehicle for my Astro in the big build.

The monster setup will take a backseat for a little while and I'm gonna be working on my expo first. I wanna see what I can do with sum 15s below the window line and with only spending minimal $$ on it. For a little while I'll have like 8k on my 2 15" HCCAs, then I might be switching up to 4 15s w/ 2k on each daily. For my expo I'm hoping for a 54+ @ dash, 53+ Streetbeat, 51+ bassrace all below the window line and tuned low. There should be sum updates on this too in the more near future.

***But an update on the "monster setup" this thread is about - The 24 Hifonics OLM2412s were ordered on Wed. and they should be here in a week or two. When i get those in then my order to American Bass will be put in and from then on big steps will occur as I have time to do so. Hoping to work on it like 2-3hrs a day and more on weekends to get it all finished with, plus I'll have sum help from my teammates to get things done if I'm busy.

So the Assstro is officially on hold before it really even got started... Going to check out a couple sport cars and luxury cars to replace my Sonata as my daily. Depending on what I find and the cost, a large portion of my new equipment will be on sale after i get it in. I decided I'd rather have a very nice car + a diff. car w/ a very loud system, than a decent daily driver and an insane setup.

But even if I don't build the Astro right now it will be on hold for a little while.. My expo will be getting the backseats taken out and 12 12s will be going in below the window line(walling it off if I'm not thrilled with results) with 3 AB VFL 500.1s. Still will get loud and be nasty as hell on the lows, but will be scaled down and still have use of the rear windows. After i sell off the remainder of the extra equipment + trade in value of sonata(if i can't sell it locally) + the other $$ i had from selling my 300zx, I'll only have to get a $10k loan at the absolute most.

Yea it will still do sum good numbers and do sum pretty wicked :hairtrick: Looking to run in the 49.9 class with plenty of headroom and prolli do a little bit of 59.9 depending on my competition. Numbers wise I'm hoping to see like 155+ @ dash, 54+ streetbeat, and 52+ bassrace all of it without a wall and on about 1200 or so watts per woofer.

I do have something else in mind instead of the 12 12s though... A little less cone area, fewer subs, but more power per woofer. I'm gonna try out the 12 12s first and see what happens. I'm to fucking indecisive though, I'm never fully satisfied with my results and continually tweak/tune my setups.

So I'm gonna start w/ the 12 Hifonics OLM2412s(the 24 i ordered will be here Thurs) + 3 AB 500.1s(2 will be here Friday)... Electrical will end up with 3 300a Ohio Gen alts(already have 2 hooked up), 8 Kinetik 2400s(I have 10 in total), and a ton of Ultraflex 2/0 welding wire. There is a possible change in amps in the works though, I'll know for sure by Thursday after I talk to a local shop owner down here.

Enclosure wise it's gonna be one big bitch lol... Shooting for around 2-2.2ft3 per woofer and it's gonna be tuned to 33hz, still up in the air how the ports will be setup though.
