Marlo Stanfield Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 Hey now that I've decided not to buy the RX7, I have around $9k available to have sum fun with this winter(since i sold my old car and was gonna use that to buy a different ride). This will be a low tuned or sealed groundpounder/demo vehicle for the most part. I'll be doing some competing(49.9 - 59.9 class, we'll see) Power will be 4 Sundown SAZ-4500Ds or something similar power range(16-20k daily) will be ordered in the next month or so. I already have the alt/battery power at my disposal(2 300a Ohio Gen alts, 10 Kinetik 2400s, and 400+ ft of 2/0 welding wire) I have so many thoughts going through my head all the time that I'm gonna have a tough time deciding. I'm looking for anything from 4 15" IA Wardens - 16 12" IA Death Rows/ Sundown Zv2/etc. It will be getting walled off in my explorer behind the b-pillar so I have plenty of room for just about anything. So throw out your suggestions just keep in mind the budget will be covering - Subs/amps/building materials/misc things. Obviously at least $8k worth in just woofers and amps alone though. The setup that is stuck in my head right now is 8 15" IA DPs off 4 SAZ-4500Ds... Haven't decided on bandpass, clamshell, etc yet but that will come after everything is ready to be ordered Let's see what you guys think - 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride... QX56 is staying stock til I get loud... It's only getting walled off if I don't meet my goal @ SBN. Pioneer AVIC-N2 (12) 12" RE SXs old model.... (3) AB VFL 500.1 @ 1ohm each Dual 300amp Ohio Gen alts.... (10) Northstar NSB-125s 26ft3 @ 33hz w/ a ton of port area 156.5 @ 40hz @ dash, Db Drag style / 153.2 Bassrace

Engine and tranny were like glass when i drove them, everytime I went above 4k rpms felt like everything was gonna break lol. Never walled the expo, so idk for sure I'd have to take sum measurements when i get a chance. It has to be above enough room to run just about anything and leave space in back for batts/amps. I was hoping to cut into the floor also to drop a couple batts underneath if i can, gotta see what's sitting under there first. Btw thanks DJ, will prolli end up having sum chats with you in the near future since i am leaning that way.. lolitskasey Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 I think your good on the amps sundown FTW. IMO i would say get some fi btls but i know alot of people have them and what not but i just cant part with sundown or FI.
