Torres Posted October 15, 2009 Report Share Posted October 15, 2009 you'll need to shorten the port a little for it to be a fully effective port. what are the dimensions of your box? i'm thinking if you extend the sides of the port to the back of the box and shorten the top part of the port 1.5 inches, you'll be fine and maintain your current tuning, or come close to it. eliassami5 Posted October 16, 2009 Report Share Posted October 16, 2009 the port has to have the same area all the way through..and when he said bend it he meant make it into an L shape instead of just a straight up port. You dont need any special tools, just have the port 5" away from the back of the wall and then extend it up 1.5 inches to get the length needed for a 30hz tune.
