Paul_85 Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 Hey guys/gals i have a 93 lexus ls400 on lexani firestars that currently has 2 12 inch mtx 5500's in a sealed box which sucks ass. ANyways there was a stock sub in the car at one time so there is a vent from the trunk into the cabin id like 4 build a 4th order box and port it through there but im stuck on plans on how 2 do so the subs ask for 2cf per sub ported and 38 hz tuning but any help or plans would help me huge!
JSwongerAA Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 Your best bet is going to be to cut that vent out to a hole and just build a good bandpass box that shoots through your new hole. Trying to tune your box around a single piece of OEM equipment is just going to be more of a headache than its worth. There's a lot of good box builders on here, some are free, some are cheap, some are more. Get them some dimensions and I'm sure they will hook you up with some kickass designs.
siucsaluki11 Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 builds are never free, lol. designs sometimes are depending on what you want and who you talk to woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port...
