big 3 question

im going to be doing the big 3 and i was just wondering if it would help any to do the big 3 in 4 gauge wiring for the time being? Then do it in 0 guage when i get more money to acually buy true 0 gauge?

well u could double/triple up on 4 gauge if u have too for the time being

well the most amount of current that can travel thru 4g is ~140a... so if u arent ever exceeding that its OK

ur trying to reduce the resistance in ur system in every place u can... this will allow for more voltage which is better

so 4g is better than stock, and 1/0 is better than 4g

That depends.... Most cars come with 4 gauge wiring... some 8 gauge. So it may or may not benefit you any, It'd be worth a shot.. if you were using quality wire then sure it would. If not your factory wire may actually be what you need... If any thing add to what's already there. Then once you have the room to upgrade to 2 or 0, you can remove it all and use the best.

unless its a huge truck/suv its 8g wiring... and u always leave stock wiring and add onto it... so any addition will allow more current

sure, if u can access the grounds and alt with ease sure, alot of times people dont want to do it more than once

if u already have 4g use it, but if u dont... 1/0 is double the price but that isnt that much when ur talking about 10ft or less

i think thurs im just going to go buy some 1/0 gauge and do it right the first time rather then do it twice
