ugpbmx
i think a separate slot port is used if you have each sub on its own amp. and a shared would be if you have them on one amp or multiple strapped amps. correct me if im wrong though. AI James
airspace is changed inside the box of course, also some believe the woofers work against each other in a shared chamber

t-money
some people think both subs in 1 box where the subs share airspace they arent as loud as if each sub has its own airspace Edited October 27, 2009 by t-money Quote 2002 ford focus hatch pioneer DEH-P8400bh infinity kappa 6.5 components front and rear XS Power D1200 Shuriken BT-100 audioque 120.4 2 15 inch audioque HDC3 D2 2 audioque 2200d big 3 mechman 220a alt with external regulator 479-418-3056
jhmeg2
i think it can go both ways depending on the box setup. it may cause some cancelation, or it could couple the subs air movment and generate more pressure and air movment out of the port. I recomend if the subs are wired together off of the same amp common chamber and single port. if they are off of different amps, individual chambers and ports however you need to gain match the amps, and the enclosures need to be identical. I may be wrong, but just my .02 cents Quote ////Alpine, Eclipse, Load Boss, Pheonix Gold, MB Quart,Digital Desings, Memphis, Stinger, Periphial, MTX, Visualogic
30Hz.wav
I wish there were numbers out there to give the question a correct answer. (2 Subs in 1 Slot, Tuned exactly the same as 2 Subs in seperate slots)

This is what I think. I have separate slot ports (divided box) And run 2 amps 1 for each sub.
