Low_Fuk Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 So I have some kicker cvr 15's now with a ppi pc1400 amp. My system sounds great as is, flex's my windshield and what not BUT I may want some better subs. I don't have a shit ton of money and I really don't want to get a different amp although I do have another ppi art series 600.2 I could use. So what brand subs are better for the money? I was debating on getting two more cvr's but I don't want to build a box for 4 of them if I can get the same sound out of two 15's. Im sure there are a lot of brands out there I don't know about so can you guys give me some ideas and maybe some prices?
Basshead08 Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Whats your price range? and I'm not really familiar with that amp either what power does it put out? Help me to help you lol! System tear out has begun...Out with the old i have a iq of 128 i graduated at the top of my class tell me how im reatrded you are the 1 thats dumb as hell you can't even spell Look at the underlined text hahahahahahahaha I think of it as the virgin losing the virginity technique not just jumping in to it, and pounding away, but going at it slowly over time, to get to that full extreme
Low_Fuk Posted October 28, 2009 Author Report Posted October 28, 2009 its 400x1 at 4 hom and 800x1 at 2 ohm(pc140) 600x1 at 4 ohm and 1200x1 at 2 ohm (art series) both are a little under rated. I think a new cvr is gonna run be around 175.00 so figure 275.00-300.00 If I can get me some new subs I will sell the ones I have. Just wanting to get something better than what I have without having to buy new amps. I have also been wandering if I could get more bass out of them by putting them in a ported box rather than a sealed box. If I could then I would just keep what I have and get a ported box.
keepinitloud Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 so you have your current subs in a prefab sealed box? if so why not get a ported box built to spec for those subs be cheaper than new subs 06 chrysler 300C Hemi one mmatts dreadnaut 15 powered by a planet audio vx 2200d fosgate p200 running planet audio 8" midbass drivers and super compression tweeters stock battery and a stinger spv44 Irragi 300 amp alternator big 3 1/0 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/55075-system-in-my-300c/page__view__findpost__p__763656__fromsearch__1

I had a buddy check it out last night and he doesn't understand why I want it louder lol. I noticed it was flexing my windshield as well. I don't really want to buy new speakers when these work awesome now. If I can get away with having a ported box built then I think thats what I will do.
