What port size are we looking at with a 7ft3 per sub box? I was thinking around 180 sq? 2nd2nun Posted October 29, 2009 Author Report Posted October 29, 2009 This is the general size I have to work with.. 33 inches High < Seat sits about 19 inches in front of that, so total space not covered by the seat is 14 inches? 47 inches Wide < Between the wheel wells 51 inches Deep < Would be smaller as the amp rack and Batteries will take up about 10 inches.. David Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 I personaly would do about 5 to 5.5 cubes per woofer, with big power I try and keep my port area around 10 sq inches per cube. Mario, who cares where he got the idea from, if he has the balls to do it, then thats cooooooool. the woofer will take it that power if your smart bout it and you can supply the amps with power.

My enclosure is right around 10 ft^3 net with 128 in^2 port area tuned to 36htz and I have no problems at all. Shyte gets loud and hits the lows pretty descent too. They can get alittle warm though when playing songs with low frequencies. How are the tuned? As the height doesnt allow for 2 18's on top of each other, the only way I could see it working is a clamshell? A box that fires strait up was also on the cards, but would sit about 5 inches from the roof. Anyone had any experience with clamshell boxes? Any input on sorts of boxes and sizes would be sweet!
