xX MocK Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 Audioque. Great, reliable amps and an awesome price.
raytard Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 hifonics? rated by rms? if youre concerned about 2200 not being enough, why would an overrated 2000 be an option? the 10 series is better but hifonics has quite the track record of slapping big numbers on incapable amps. AQ on the other hand, I haven't heard anyone claim they cant do rated power. the hdc3 are rated at 1000rms, so an aq2200 will be perfect. the 3500 will work as well, but is more than you need and requires the use of a common sense filter. While they can take way more than rated, you have to know what you're doing and be careful with it. DJL Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 Kind of a noob question but i just wanted to know. i was thinking about running 1 of these for 2 HDC3 18's and didnt know if it is enough power or if i should get a hifonics 2010D because there rated by RMS All of our amps are Ap tested and do rated power plus a little in our pocket. We rate RMS power only. Peak power ratings are marketing BS and tell the customer nothing.
