Ben Building
I have never seen this sub? Is the the newer Re sx sub? I don't know i could be wrong.. It is the new, improved version of the "SE" subwoofer. Now, instead of having the generic basket the old SE's had, the SEX has RE's own proprietary basket adopted from the XXX and the MX subs. This new SEX sub is an extremely nice woofer. It has a heavy gauge aluminum basket, a looong 3 inch coil, and a huge soft surround on the front. The pics don't do it justice at all, but here are a couple others: Here is a link to RE's own info on the sub: http://reaudio.com/specs.html#sp_sex The Old SE's looked like these:

Ben Building
RE recommends 3-4 c.f. ported for this subwoofer and 2-3 c.f. sealed, so it will fit pretty much any vehicle. POSTED 11/5/2009: I will throw in a FREE PORTED BOX DESIGN for the purchaser of this subwoofer.
Ben Building
Man i like those subs some peeps is telling me on here that im old on news i need to be updated can some peepshelp me out If you want to update your system, then subs are probably on the top of the list (that's why you're on SMD, right?). The new RE SEXs are a very good start. The only possible issue you might encounter with this sub is that is has dual 4 ohm voice coils (as apposed to dual 2 ohm). What this means is that you won't be able to use just one of these to get the max power out of a typical class-d amplifier. The good news is that this sub will play great on a 1200-1500 watt RMS amp at 2 ohms. Later, if you want even more bass, you can get another SEX for a great daily listening setup. Be forewarned though, your next SEX 15 will likely cost more than $190. Thanks.
