barros57 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Share Posted November 2, 2009 Ok, so I finally went ahead bought the new 2009 dual 2 ohm recone kit 130$ and built this box exactly to orions specs. 1" mdf 1.2 cuft 108 cu in port The problem is, it is not very loud and it does not go low. I know i need to break in the recone still, but when i turned it up the first time to see if the recone was rubbing, it was not very loud. To hit the lows do i need a bigger box..or a 15? Anyone want to trade? Here is the build Log. That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do. Does that thing havea ton of port noise its really small. for some reason he was talking about port displacement, not port area. the port is 9sq in of area 12" deep thus making it 108 cubic inches of port. Still ridiculously small for that sub.
