idontcarehoe
hey guys, i've been lurking on the site for a while now, lots of great info... been trying to get stuff together for new build and talk ol lady into lettin me waste money on car audio again ... only messed with sketch up a few times but these are kinda the two ideas i've got in mind, neither box i've really calculated airspace yet but i'm going for 3-15" subs, 12 cuft and 150sq/in port, tuned low (30ish), just looking for any input of which might sound better or if anyone has got a different/better design
ugpbmx
if anything i would say the first one would give you a better outcome, but im not sure on that. what is this going in? idontcarehoe
yea i've seen yours, looks good, and looked at a few of them on here, i've already got three mmats p3 subs... i run a single one now in a hacked center console box off of a mmats amp-it's decently loud for a reg cab set up, but it's now become my project truck so i can get it a little louder ....kinda the other reason i've been lurkin to see what's got a good following now a days- i need to get a new amp for all three
jvillefinest
personally i think the second one would work better. not too big of a fan of the leanback style of box. idontcarehoe
yea i think the first one would look better, i'd probably have to invert the subs...but i think the wedge would sound better/louder
95_1500
Agreed the second would probably be much better. I have a special kind of blowthrough with 2 15's in the window- my first box laid back with the port at the top and i wasnt impressed with it at all, current one is much louder. Id go with the wedge Quote Original Build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/index.php?showtopic=24095
