Mendozauly Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 I have a 2001 Ford Expedition with two Yellow top Optimas, and two DEI d2600 power amp's pushing two L7 15 in a pre-fab box, Kicker 800.4 pushing all my mids and highs. 6 1/2 Type R componets front and rear. But my factory alternater took a shit and almost fire up. I need help finding a good and durable high power alternator? I also need help with a new box desing for my L7 15 i will like to make a ported box with the Spl spec. All wire on the batterys are 1/0 gage Alpine D900 head unit 7" flip out t.v Kicker 6 1/2 components (front,rear)KS 6502 MB quart 3 1/2" in front A/C vent's (center channel) DC Audio LVL 5 18" (pair) Custom ported box Sundown 4500 at .5 Sundown 100.4 XS 3100 up front and a pair of XS 6500 in the rear. 1 17" Eiger Vision T.V 2 7" Eiger Vision T.V in Second row. Dynomat Top to Bottom (foam in all halo beam's) DC Eng Alt 260SP and a 400SP dual set up. big 3 Sitting on 24" If your neighbor don't complain it's not Loud! These amp re-places my Mac Intosh amps, the old type, how i wish i could find a places that could fix them? But do i need to change anything on my factory Electrical for this type of alternator (260 amp) my factory one was only (130amp max) dont know how much at idl. etaks_crew Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Nope this one says no modification needed so I wouldn't see why you would have to change anything. I know so have a bigger case and sometimes you have to grind down brackets and such but it says direct bolt on.
