LoudBlazer Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 How bad if any do you think playing your system full blast in say a demo situation does it hurt or affect the performance on mids. Like would 4-18s tuned to 36Hz in a wall affect a pair of 6.5s in the trim panel around the wall or say even door speakers else where in the vehicle? 1997 2 Door Blazer Bagged & Body Dropped SBC/TH350
sully Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 building that kind of pressure is not good for them but they will survive 2003 Ford F-150 Reg Cab layin body on 26's 2003 Tahoe 3/5 drop on 26's with a 408cid Supercharged engine. 2011 Camaro 2SS 2005 VW GTI Stage II ECU, CAI, 3" turbo back exhaust, FMIC, lowered 2" on some plastidipped 18's 2003 Hayabusa lowered, stretched, cams, nitrous and custom paint
LoudBlazer Posted November 4, 2009 Author Report Posted November 4, 2009 Yeah, I figured that but everyone does it but we never here if they are replaced often (talking bout big tymers like Tommy, Pipo, neil, etc etc) lol 1997 2 Door Blazer Bagged & Body Dropped SBC/TH350
Loudcav Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 I doubt they get replaced very often its not going to be instant death for them you would have more of a risk of burning them up from power than blowing them up due to pressure now if they were mounted in the sub box for some god awful reason it would be another story
korey_hofer Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 depends do you mean in the same box as the subs? because then they will rip apart almost instantly you would need to build a separate box for them inside the sub box but really mids/highs behind your head is a horrible idea imo I would just put more in the doors previously known as wenn_du_weinst aka fucking internet coward supreme. I talk shit on other forums like a little bitch and hope i don't get caught out on the street.
Loudcav Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 honestly it depends what the goal is so I wouldnt say that mids behind your head is a bad Idea if hes just building something to open the doors and demo the hell out of it why not cram as many mids as you can into it
korey_hofer Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 because it destroy's the imaging and the sound stage I would atleast have them on a switch so you can shut it off when no demoing more is not always better either previously known as wenn_du_weinst aka fucking internet coward supreme. I talk shit on other forums like a little bitch and hope i don't get caught out on the street.
