hargibi
Hey. So i burned my amp yesterday. The only thing i did change was that i added a 21mm2 power cable and a new ground..... So it started up fine.. i could play some.. but then i turned it up to the usual volume i play in and then it just went quiet... The fuse under the hood had broken .. and the amp was smoking like hell.. No fuse on the amp went tho... I had an insurence so they will fix it or get me a new for 20$ (gotta love insurence) So. Anyone know what could have hapened? /thanks. Joakim.
roscoe1129
Only thing I can think is that it shorted due to your power wire grounding out somewhere. Have you checked the wire you installed? hargibi
The ground cable is good. i even have a 8mm2 cable going directly to the battery. also 1 8mm and 1 21 mm that goes to the chassi so there should be ANY problems! i think its 30 amps on the fuse (changed it to 50 as the store said when i wanted a new one) And the amps are running 3*40 i think but that is the standard fuses so there shouldnt be any problem at all.
