no protection light..no overheating.. No smoke or smells.. No burnt fuses.. Amp wasn't abused at all..from what my dad tells me.. His p.o.s. Capacitor was on.. He was told his battery was dead that day..yet 1 month later..no new battery and car runs perfect.. So am seriously doubting the shop..plus the internals look excellent..

Could something inside get damaged and not be visible to the eye??

did you check the fuses? i mean all the fuses, like the one under the dash, the one before the battery... if you put 1 up front with your power wire.. the one befor the amp, the ones on the amps its self, if it has fuses.. check your grounds? and make sure its still good, get rid of the cap and try going with just that power wire to the amp?

lots of stuff, also

did you also check the remote wire? try taking a piece of speaker wire going from the 12v input and running it to the remote wire, if your having issues with it not turning on, if that turns on, you could either have a bad remote wire or a fuse thats messed up
