I just got a new amp from ebay and I was installing it last night while it was about 15 degrees. I hooked up my ground wire to it, got a tool, came back and the wire had somehow snapped off the ground terminal on the amp. My question is, is there any other way to ground an amp other than with the terminal? Or am I screwed? Thanks!

How exactly does that work? How does it ground the amp itself?

It doesnt. thats just a ground block. I know what your talking about & the answer is no, you have to ground it through the terminal that was damaged. How did this happen? it had to have a lot of pressure on it from the way the wire was routed.

Current System:

Pioneer 6900 HU

Front Stage: (for now)

Soundstream tarantula 5.25 in the doors

Soundstream tarantula 4x6 in the dash

Kenwood 400.4 for mids & highs

Bass:

4 Soundstream RW-12's

2 Power Acoustik Stax 4000/1D's

single chamber box, 2.65 cubes.

Currently under the knife being bagged

I think it might be the craftsmenship of the amp. Its a crunch amp. Looks pretty sexy but it was $100. I don't know exactly how it happened, there wasnt any pressure. You get what you pay for I suppose.

Mmm shitty pewter terminals.

You're pretty much boned, NFI how you would repair that unless you could get one from a donor amp with similar terminals.

Well see, I still have the terminal that broke off, I was gonna see if I could solder it back on, but idk. There isn't any other way to connect the ground to the amp?
