LunatikGixxer Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 Im still deciding whether i should put the amp on the back of the box or somewhere else. On the back of the box would be the easiest place but im concerned about heat getting to it and something rattling loose inside the amp. If i do put it on the box its gunna be on 2 15s which i think might rattle it a lot... Give me some suggestions if this is a good idea or not, or where u guys perfer putting your amps at. The face of the box is double MDFed so i think it might be ok with the rattling but not sure yet (dont have it in yet). 2002 Dodge durango 4.7L Autopage 2 way remote start alarm system 2 AQ 15 Aluminum coils. 1 AQ2200D (soon to be 2). 8.5 cubes tuned to 38hz. berniebp87 Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 I had my amps on the box and had no problems with it But some amps are more fragile than others to vibrations. jizazz12 Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 i have all of my amp's mounted on my box, only because i have no choice . i haven't had any problems but if you have the room it's better to mount them else where just to be on the safe side.or if your like me and have no choice due to limited space just make sure to put some rubber matting underneath the amp to absorb some of the vibration and you should be good. 2007 Chevy Impala LS 1 Crescendo 3KWP 1Crescendo C1000/4 2 DC lvl 4 15's with lvl5 dual .7 coils 1Audio Control Matrix 1 Pioneer P880PRS 1 300 amp Iraggi alt All power runs done with Knu flex 0/1 guage 1 optima yellow top under the hood 1 XS 5100 and two Deka's in the trunk 4 Crescendo MP-8 mid bass drivers 2 DB Drive p5 5 D Pro Audio tweeters
