00sdime00 Posted August 31, 2010 Author Report Posted August 31, 2010 Damn joe!! That really was quick! Glad those pics gave you some ideas!! Love how you fab'ed it in wood, then cut it down to a rough size and used a tracing router bit to get it the same size. Any special bit you need to use for metal, or would any router bit work? Thanks again bro. Told ya I dont play...I'm a little further along than those pics...but thats how I roll...lol For the flush trim bit, I usually use a 3 flute cuz it's a much quicker and smoother cut than a two flute. If I want a really smooth finish, I use a spiral flush cut bit like this one from Mobile Solutions. http://www.mobilesolutions-usa.com/smartparts/spiraltrimbits_1.htm On thicker (3/8" and above) aluminum, and acrylic I use a Shear angle bit like this one from Rockler, as it tends not to "grab" the material as much as a 90 degree fluted bit. http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=16976 A half-wit gave you a piece of his mind, and you held on to it. 00sdime00 Posted August 31, 2010 Author Report Posted August 31, 2010 Damn Joe you never cease to amaze me bro. That truck has underwent some massive changes throughout the years Thanks bobby-hill. It surely has been a work in progress. As of late it has turned into a never ending project as I start one thing and never really finish it due to my schedule or the fact that I don't give a fuck....one of these days I will finish it. Ji553r Posted September 1, 2010 Report Posted September 1, 2010 i checked out the dash and your mount you made... when it comes to those, how do you get the head unit to stay attached to the back of the mount you made? just glue on the edge of the head unit? I don't fuck around. I go from zero to I hope you die in less than 2 posts build log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/104524-new-subs-coming-sundown-3500d-arc-audio-cable-lacing-crescendo/

You mean the monitor? I removed the actual monitor from its case and molded the front of the case into the dash bezel. Then I installed monitor back into the case. Pretty simple.
