So i'm looking at these refurbs at db-r.com, and I got this idea maybe I should get one and trade or sell my kicker 2500. I know my sub can take it, but will a refurb last very long? I just want opinions, getting close to starting my install and got to finalize some decisions.

Since its coming from DB-r, you shouldnt have much to worry about at all. They work like a champ, from what I hear :aggressive: . He fixes plenty of amps, and they come back working perfect. Remeber 90% of the time its never the amp, only the installers idiotic stupidity

Db-r is jacobs authorized repair center. If you trust sundown amps and Jacob, then trust that Jacob picked a very very good place for his amp repairs ;)

I'd hit that so fucking hard whoever pulled me out would be King of England.

Lol... looks like we were on the same page. Car-B-Ques suck.

ya, tires and paint burning make the marshmallows taste funny.

db-r.com refurbs would be pretty much as tough if not stronger than factory. Unless the board got real messed up when the amp died but I doubt he would even refurb them if that was the case.

don't forget that jacob also accepts amps as "credit" towards any of his new brand new amps

you could get a little bit of money off of the price of a BNIB 3000D from your kicker 2500

DB-R is good as new also though.

just stick with your amp if will only run the sundown @ 2ohms...

but if you plan to change subs later on, then go for it.

i have first hand experience with a 3000d refurb from db-r and they are really good amps, my customer is still using it till this day.

if you want to switch to sundown and you need power at 2 ohms.

just get 2 1500s and strap them
