01xtreme
Im just wondering whats with all the company logos? You might run in to problems using their logo's to drum up business if you're not an authorized seller. Probably nothing to worry about unless you start making it a big thing, but still something to be cautious of. kandiman71874
Word to the wise here, being you arent a legit business, stay out of peoples cars and wiring as much as possible. If something gets jacked up in thier car you dont have any kind of insurance to cover any damage and cant get it w/o some kind of license. People are sue happy anymore no matter how good of a friend you think they are. It's something to think about and keep fresh in your head. Megalomaniac
Well a lot of people from my school have asked me to build boxes for them and I am doing them for a resonable price and the thought popped into my head. Why don't I make it a small time service? Well after a bit of designing and thinking I have came up with what is now gonna be known as germantown audio. I made a shirt and was wondering what you guys think. Here are the shirts. They are gonna have my name and my friends name on his who is helping me with this aswell. We are gonna split every profit 50/50 The box in your avatar looks ugly as sin. Finish your own box first before making other people boxes in exchange for money. That is what I was thinking. It's not like I know how to make my own boxes, but finishing them I could LOL. marquettefan247
that was a box that I first made like over the summer with no experience. Ive made at least 3 so far for friends and they are definitly happy with the product. I just havent had time to finish it with school and work. I am gonna be doing a blowthrough probably after christmas so thats when i plan to rebuild. For me I would rather have a nice sounding box than a prefab peice of junk, but when it comes to building a box for other people I want it to sound good and look good. I guess it is kinda bad example when I am building boxes for people, but when they see their product they wont be upset. No offense but I would have to agree..... I have alot of people wanting me to build them custom enclosures but I really only do it for family and friends. I understand thats why I am now thinking I am gonna wait til after my blowthrough build to really start opening for business. The best thing I can do now is build boxes for my family and friends. When I started in this game I had a kid build me a box for my two 15" MA Audio subs. He made me a ported enclosure and messed up. The hole for my subs were too small and too close together. He also didnt measure my trunk openings and messed up by making it to big. I make sure I double check everything and even make a box out of carboard to check. I appreciate the feedback good and bad because I need to learn.
