First Look at the New D6500 and D3100

Recommended Posts

Looking good guys.

D3100s come down 7aH, used to be 117ah now 110ah?

You are correct. Although the 110Ah is very much on the conservative side... just keep in mind that our design intent is not for maximum capacity... we build other G31 sized batteries that are well over 120Ah for different applications, but that type battery has a different internal design that does not work well for high amperage applications like car audio. Really, you can get high capacity batteries anywhere... they are very common in telecom applications and are readily available for cheap (compared to a D3100) But they are not made to produce nearly 1400A for 30 seconds at 32 degrees, or well over 2500A for 3 or 4 seconds. You will also notice the Max Amps rating is now 5000A, which is a considerable improvement from before. ;)

In all reality, the 2009 D3100 is a very tough battery to compete with... for 2010 we had to get really serious to make any improvement at all, and I imagine the SPL difference between old vs new will be minimal. We mainly wanted to implement the handle... not many people like the strap we used to use :)

how much do you charge for new stickers with new info i want one

Good question.

I had to mount bot of mine under the hood face down and wouldn't mind having stickers to show what they are.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)
