One question: Will I need to know what subs I'm getting before I make a cardboard box enclosure (because of the measurements or whateva) to see if it fits?

yes you willl each woofer will require different size boxes based on their specs. also a ported box will be larger than a sealed box. so if you pick woofer a and it says 2.5 cubes ported you will need to figure on a 3-3.25 cube box externally. Get your read on youngster :D

Don't get a dual enclosure? What if I can fit 2 15"s in my trunk but the only way is with a dual? I have no idea what I'm talkin about lol but I'm just sayin I basically want a lot of bass so my vision vibrates and you can feel it, not sure if 2 12"s could still do that in a Focus, that's why I say 15"s.

Probably because what sub you get will decide your box volume and tuning. In your price range I would say

sub= http://www.audioque.com/aq/HDCSeries.htm

Which ever size you have room to build a proper box for.

Amp= http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-AUDIOPIPE-1500W-MO...=item3351722c1f

Good amp for the price

Headunit= http://cgi.ebay.com/PIONEER-DEH-P5100UB-CD...=item5ad55ecc54

Mids & Highs= whatever you can find that fit your stock locations would be the easiest way to go.

edit: 1,000th post woohoo!!! :yahoo:

I'm talkin about a dual enclosure, for 2 subs. Not sayin the subs are gonna be the brand Dual. And someone on another forum told me to get 2 15" Fi BL's if they can fit, with a Power Acoustik BAMF4000/1D 4000W Amp. Does that make sense?

you can make 1 12'' sound like 2 15's,just mostly depend on the box and placement of the box...meaning you can get louder putting it in one place than another.Read a little here about making boxes and other stuff..if you dont want to do that get a couple kicker 12's and a pre fab and wire it correctly.Ask us if you have any problems and you'll learn from there brother.

You would spend alot more than $1000 bucks on that setup. Big power amps take a big electrical system to run them.

Alts & batts = hella expensive!
