dugee81
Guess mother fucking what!!! My other amps didnt work in my car as well .... Thank god!!! I hooked it up to my other car which has an l7 in it and it worked fine turned it up a bit just to see how it did and ended up smoking my kicker a bit, no big deal. So it fried the rem wire. At least the amp seems fine. i am very happy for you Quote 200a alt. by Excessive Amperage hc800 under hood & 2 Deka 9a31 in rear 1/0awg + big 3 SAZ 3000D HDC3 18" @ 2 ohm

Boon
Responding to your PM... Everything looks fine inside the amp. Good work trying it in another car Lucky you had another one to try it on. You may have killed the remote circuitry in your headunit. It would have been short to ground when the amp was hooked up like that. Wierd though, you should have got some huge ass sparks trying to hook it up backwards. Most amps are a short circuit when connected the wrong way around. I mean yeah, you always get a couple of sparks when hooking up a big amp but this thing must have been like an arc welder... As a little side note, if it ever does die, send it to an amp repair specialist like db-r.com - these big amps (and the clips they hold the FETs in with) are tricky to work on and easy to fuck up Quote 10.x volts fo' life! I plan on just using the rem from the sound processor anyway if thats the case...
