audiofanaticz
If I wait for the system to try the alt on a clamp could that kill my alt if I put to much stress on it cuz I'm gonna need a couple extra batteries in the back? Over time, yes. but Im talking like a year + usage. Theres many people that run decent sized audio systems with no alt and just some optima battery under the hood. Alternators sometimes fail due to users discharging their batteries below half, then relying on the alternator alone to recharge the battery. An alternator is just there to more less maintain a charge, Thats why on huge systems you see a crap tons of batteries, and a few alts to keep them batteries charged fully.
