newls1 Posted December 4, 2009 Report Share Posted December 4, 2009 (edited) you will NEEEEED to keep this amp cool, as they run HOT (I've been told) I removed the covers (as you just did aswell) and the top part of my amp rack will be 3/8th thick plexi, which houses 2 120mm fans PER AMP, that should do the trick. And you also will need an improved 12v electrical setup. I hope you dont plan on running this with just 1 run of 12v, and no batt bank in the rear. remember it takes power to make power. Also have some VERY CLEAN GROUNDS for it. **EDIT** personally, I think the inside of these amps are pretty weak. I think they have just enough "GUTS" per 1500watt board inside to sustain there claims (@ possible higher distortion rates) and nothing more. IF it wasn't for me getting these amps for 269 each, I never would have bought them. Dont get me wrong, I HOPE THEY PROVE THEMSELVES TO ME AND MY 4 18"s, but I dont have my fingers crossed ......
